It's recurring — you earn your commission every month for as long as the brand you referred stays subscribed to Socialpur. If they stay for 12 months, you get paid 12 times for that one referral.
How long does the cookie last?
The standard cookie duration is 60 days. This means if someone clicks your referral link and signs up anytime within 60 days, you get credited. Elite affiliates get 90 days.
Can I refer influencers, or only brands?
Currently, the affiliate program pays commissions for brand/paid plan referrals only. Influencer registrations are free, so there is no commission for those. However, when an influencer you referred later signs up for a premium creator feature (coming soon), you'll earn from that too.
How do I move from Starter to Pro or Elite tier?
Tier upgrades are automatic. When you hit 5 qualifying referrals in a calendar month, you're promoted to Pro tier the following month. At 15 referrals/month, you're upgraded to Elite. You'll be notified by email when your tier changes.
Is there a sub-affiliate or two-tier program?
Yes — Elite affiliates get access to the sub-affiliate network. When you recruit other affiliates and they refer brands, you earn 5% of their commission as well. This allows Elite affiliates to build a passive income network below them.
What happens if a brand I referred cancels their subscription?
If a brand cancels, your recurring commission for that brand stops from the next billing cycle. You only earn while they're actively subscribed. There's no clawback of commissions already paid.
Do I need to file GST for my affiliate earnings?
If your total affiliate income from Socialpur in a year is under ₹20 lakhs, GST registration is not required. TDS at 10% is deducted if total annual payouts exceed ₹30,000. You'll receive Form 16A for tax filing purposes.
